Anda Anastasescu’s performances across the world have been consistently praised for their artistry, insight and imagination. An International Debussy Competition winner, she has performed extensively with orchestras in Europe, the USA and Asia, and toured with the Constantin Silvestri Philharmonic from Romania and with her own ensemble, The London Schubert Players.

She is president of the Constantin Silvestri International Foundation which preserves the memory of the renowned conductor and Romania’s most important composer after George Enescu.

Anda Anastasescu has received a distinguished decoration from the President of Romania for promoting Romanian classical music and for her services to British-Romanian cultural relations.

Her two recent Wigmore Hall recitals received high praise, and established Silvestri as “a composer awaiting thorough investigation”.

Silvestri’s mentor, George Enescu, is represented by his Suite, opus 10, which won a competition, and earned high praise from Ravel.

Silvestri’s BSO performances of Enescu’s Romanian Rhapsody no. 1 became an international legend.

In a well-balanced programme, Anda Anastasescu also performs the “Tempest” sonata by Beethoven, with Chopin represented by three waltzes and the Scherzo no.1.
